We’re nothing fancy – nothing big or bold. Just an intimate, family run business with a passion for growing our garden, home cooking and a Sunday morning meander. Imagining and creating products that pay tribute to the flavours and vibrancy of our continent are what we do best.
Perhaps you know the origins of Rondavel soaps, and Kate and Chikondi – the pioneers of the home grown brand. The fearless and endearing family built the business from ground up, meticulously conceptualising and perfecting each recipe. Owing to their life adventure moving forward, we were able to step in and take over the home grown brand. Thus, we’re the new Rondavel family.
Our family home is nestled amidst the Hilton hills, just above the sleepy hollow of Pietermaritzburg. It’s here in the mist, beneath the calls of the hadedas that we hand-craft our product range. Each of our days is filled with colour, fresh air, natural curiosities and of course, a multitude of scents. We’re constantly exploring and learning from Mother Nature, and the expansive South African landscapes are our playing ground. There is an abundance of natural wonder to marvel at.
And this is what we try and capture in every product we hand-craft. An amalgamation of sensory experiences, taking you on wild adventures and outdoor explorations – across the myriad of African landscapes.
